Which Oral Health Services Are Covered?

  • Preventative: Routine cleanings, dental sealants, and fluoride treatments
  • Diagnostic: Examinations and X-rays
  • Restorative: Dental fillings
  • Endodontic: Root canal treatments
  • Prosthodontic: Complete and partial removable dentures
  • Periodontic: Deep scaling Oral Surgery: Tooth extractions

Who Qualifies For The Plan?

  • Canadian residents without access to dental insurance*
  • Patients who have filed their tax return for the previous year
  • Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000.
*Patients who have dental coverage through a federal, provincial, or territorial government social program can still qualify.

When Can You Apply?

  • Seniors 65+: December 2023
  • Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate: June 2024
  • Children under 18: June 2024
  • Remaining eligible Canadians: 2025

How Much Does The Plan Cover?

  • No Co-Payment: If you have an adjustment annual family net income lower than $70,000.
  • 40% Co-Payment: For patients with an adjustment annual family net income between $70,000 and $79,999.
  • 60% Co-Payment: Individuals with an adjusted annual family net income between $80,000 and $89,999.
It’s important to note that CDCP fees may not be identical to what our office charges for services, which means you may need to pay an additional fee if:
  • The cost of your oral health care service is more than what the CDCP will reimburse based on their established fees.
  • You agree to have services performed that aren’t covered by the plan.

How Can You Apply?

Eligible Canadians can apply at the Government of Canada website. You can also apply with the help of a trusted friend or family member.
